misterBlake had a hit record in North America with "I Only Want To Be With You"..
At the age of 14, Blake, then an entrepreneurially minded high school student, formed his own record label and started recording. Stirring a lot of local interest, and winning a talent contest, he caught the attention of DART Records, an independant American label. Producing the song "I Only Want To Be With You", sold 50,000+ copies.
The song, "Christmas In A Changin' World", featuring the late Denis Simpson and others was released early by demand and the video, now on youtube followed. The song recently won top of the heap for The Province playlist musicbc and will be included in his upcoming album "Superstars".
Blake with Good Friend Rita McNeil
For reasons beyond his control, his promising career came to an abrupt end. Decades later—after a long hiatus from music— Blake was encouraged by very good friend Rita McNeil to give it another start. He is once again actively writing with Andy Symthe of March Hare. Blake regularly performs at church events, charity fundraising events and pop concerts. Blue Rain is a labour of love and features some of Vancouver's finest musicians and singers. misterBlake is already working hard on his next album, titled 'Superstars', which will be released summer 2011.

misterBlake's current CD 'Blue Rain' is playing all around the world.
Produced by Juno Award Winner Patricia Dahlquist of "Keep Our Love Alive" fame and engineered by Vic Levak at Hush Sound, the new album has an authentic rock sound.
Blake is excited about the 'Blue Rain' album. Packed with catchy, radio-friendly songs like the title cut 'Blue Rain'. The new album features a collection of originals and selected cover tunes. Included is a version of one of Blake's favourite Canadian singers, Paul Anka's "Jubilation".
The CD also includes "Our World", a tribute to the many colored ribbons that are iconic symbols around the world. A universal awareness message, 'Our World' has already caught the ear of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Al Gore, and many others.
Of course, no misterBlake CD would be complete without a dynamic 2010 version of "I Only Want To Be With You", completely re-mastered.
